Overview
The EV4 GT is Kia's electric hot hatch: a compact, everyday car wearing the GT badge. Kia designed it and builds it in Europe, with European drivers in mind.
The numbers
Two motors give all-wheel drive, with 145 kW at the front and 70 kW at the rear. Kia quotes a combined 215 kW (292 PS) and 468 Nm, good for 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. The 81.4 kWh battery gives up to 505 km of WLTP range on Kia's figures, and a 10–80% DC rapid charge takes about 31 minutes.
How Kia made it a GT
Electronically controlled suspension and a GT Mode that adjusts the motors and chassis settings do the serious work. Virtual Gear Shift simulates gear changes, backed by a synthesised drive sound. GT-only 20-inch wheels on performance summer tyres, neon brake calipers and a performance timer for 0–100 km/h, 200 m and 400 m runs finish the job.
In the UK
UK prices start at £49,345 on the road, in a single, highly equipped trim. White paint is standard; every other colour costs £650. Orders opened on 1 October 2026.
Why it matters
The EV4 GT brings Kia's GT treatment to a smaller, more attainable car, lining up against the Cupra Born VZ and Volkswagen ID.3 GTI in the growing electric hot hatch class.
