Overview
The EV6 GT is Kia's performance flagship and the fastest-accelerating car the brand has ever built. Its arrival proved that a practical electric crossover could carry a genuine GT badge.
The original
The first EV6 GT used two motors, one on each axle, producing 585 PS and 740 Nm. Electronically controlled suspension sharpened the chassis, and a Drift Mode could send up to all of the drive to the rear wheels.
The new EV6 GT
The updated car brings a bigger 84 kWh battery, 8.5% larger than before, and up to 279 miles of WLTP range. Kia UK lists it at 641 bhp, and the new Virtual Gear Shift simulates gear changes to make the drive more engaging. It also gets a refreshed exterior with a new light signature.
Why it matters
Kia's UK on-the-road pricing for the new EV6 GT starts at £59,985. That's serious performance from a car that still does the school run.
