Overview
The Evija takes Lotus into electric hypercar territory. This is a two-seat statement of intent: a sculptural carbon-fibre body, extraordinary power and a layout built around the driver.
The hardware
A battery pack mounted immediately behind the two seats feeds four electric motors. Lotus describes the all-wheel-drive powertrain as producing more than 2,000 PS, putting the Evija at the extreme end of electric performance.
Carved by air
The Evija is the first Lotus road car to use a one-piece carbon-fibre monocoque chassis. Its bodywork looks stretched around the mechanical components, with dramatic channels making airflow part of the car's identity rather than something hidden beneath the surface.
Why it matters
Lotus built its reputation on steering, balance and the relationship between driver and machine. The Evija asks what those values can become when electricity replaces the combustion engine. For VOLT-AGE, it belongs here as a glimpse of electric performance without everyday-car limits.
