Overview
The A6 Avant e-tron is Audi's electric estate: a long, low, practical car that happens to be built on some of the most advanced EV hardware Audi makes. It proves performance and a big boot can share the same car.
The platform
It sits on Audi's Premium Platform Electric (PPE), developed with Porsche, and uses an 800-volt battery mounted flat in the floor. Two battery sizes are offered: 83 kWh gross (75.8 kWh usable) and 100 kWh gross (94.9 kWh usable). Audi UK quotes up to 444 miles of official range and DC charging at up to 270 kW, or 225 kW for the entry car.
The range
The entry A6 Avant e-tron uses a single rear motor with 210 kW (286 PS), rising to 240 kW (326 PS) with launch control. The A6 Avant e-tron performance has 270 kW, or 280 kW with launch control, still driving the rear wheels.
The S6 Avant e-tron
The performance pick is the S6 Avant e-tron. Two motors and quattro all-wheel drive give 370 kW, rising to 405 kW (551 PS) with launch control, according to Audi UK.
In the UK
Audi UK lists the A6 Avant e-tron from £64,390 on the road, and the S6 Avant e-tron from £94,150.
